The Design Process:
1) Basic sketch idea
2) Structure of main elements redrawn/vectorised
3) Finished chevron vector design with all detail added
This is the second part of two proactive projects created for Converse. Following on from the the 'Skull Chevron' element, was to create a design inspired by the late 80's/early 90's skateboard art. The idea of a skeleton leg (still wearing Converse sneaker) being held by the lower arm, forming the 'chevron' icon was completed with an eyeball and more bones, forming the accompanying star. Then all the extra bones, veins and muscles were added to give it that 90's 'Snot Art' feel. This illustration was created in Adobe Illustrator as a full vector design, again with colours and other elements (like the skull) being added, to create variation for multiple clothing applications.
