The Final Printed Cards
The Final Printed Cards
It is refreshing to get a design brief from a person, quite different from the general corporate client, however similar in personality, attitude, passion and taste – specifically in bikes and skulls – as one's self! We were commissioned to design a personal identity for the entrepreneur, Richard Mulholland. One of the routes was to create a monogram, using a clever combination of letters – an 'R', a full-stop, and a ‘ch’ which had to look like an 'M' as well – this could read as "R.M" OR "Rich". The brief was to create something classy and clean to appeal to corporates, but with an edge. Rich, being a lover of board games, also requested that an element depicting this, needed to be included in the mix! Below are the final logo files as well as some preliminary designs and sketches, showing the process. For the front of the business cards, we also created a spot UV ‘follow-on’ typographic design using his name and surname.
