Turbine was briefed to design an icon to accompany an existing word mark for SmartWill, which was actually tweaked and cleaned up in the end as well. The icon had to have nothing to do with the 'will' part - as the company would possibly branch out into other sectors - but we had to focus on the 'smart' aspect of the name. The idea of a glowing/shining light bulb forming the 's' was the final chosen direction.
