Matching Turbine Skull Beetle & Harley Forty-Eight

I acquired a beautifully resprayed 1977 VW Beetle which also had the interior redone to a point. I finished the interior, replaced a few mechanical and electrical parts, had the suspension dropped, original Rostyle rims painted black and back wheel rims widened. Adorned with new rubber, I found and fitted Atlas white wall inserts giving the bug that real retro look. I wanted to do a fitting logo for the doors, something a bit different to the main Turbine-Design logo and more in-line with the vintage type designs from a few decades ago. Being a bit of a skull and biker freak, the images and logos below were created – for brand consistency, I kept the font and scroll elements from the main Turbine logo. I wanted the skull to face forwards on both sides of the car so thus the two logo variations. I also added a subtle URL decal on the rear window and then added some more skull elements on the car – from skull tyre caps to a skull gear knob.

    
    
    
     
     
     
     
     


The second part to this Turbine-branded vehicle project, was to revamp a Sportster 48 to look similar to the branded Beetle. So, on acquiring the 2015 Sporty, white wall tires were added, similar white pearl vinyl was bought and applied to the tank. The same beetle door skull design was tweaked and applied to both sides and top of the tank, as well respraying the exhaust heat shields was also done to the bike so far. There are still a few other mods that need to be done, but the pair look pretty sharp together already!
